Azar Marashian has been with Paramount Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) for more than 20 years and is responsible for acquiring all domestic and international content across Paramount ANZ’s suite of channels and platforms including Network 10’s linear free-to-air channels (10, 10 Bold, 10 Peach and Nickelodeon), SVOD (Paramount+), AVOD and FAST (10 Play). Azar successfully negotiated the acquisition of The Dog House series as well as the format option that Paramount ANZ has gone on to produce for three seasons, proving to be a family favourite for Australian audiences. Other high-performing acquisitions Azar has secured for Paramount+ include Wog Boys Forever, Michael Mann’s feature film Ferrari, staring Adam Drive, Hugh Jackman and Penelope Cruz, and The Far North, a recent Paramount+ Original that Azar acquired as a pre-sale from script, which is based on a true New Zealand story. During her time at Paramount ANZ Azar has also obtained run of series rights for The Bold and the Beautiful in the region and been responsible for negotiating and finalising key volume deals with Roadshow Pictures, Warner Bros Discovery, Sony Pictures, Paramount GCD and NBC Universal.
